Aiken provides many things to many people. It is a center of commerce and is internationally known for it’s equine activities. There is approximately one horse for every six people in Aiken county.

 Aiken has great weather. You’ll want to spend plenty of time outdoors taking advantage of Aiken’s terrific recreational facilities. Aiken has it all from golf courses, to ball and soccer fields, to swimming, to running/walking tracks, to fitness centers and even rock climbing walls and a skating park.

Aiken’s schools and medical facilities are listed among the best in the state. Several national magazines list Aiken as one of the top 15 places in our country to retire to. Aiken’s real estate tax rates are lower than average and gasoline prices are usually among the lowest in the county.
